Balloon Safaris
One of the most amazing activities to do during your safari in Tanzania is to experience hot air balloon safari which takes place in the Serengeti National Park, one of the most popular Tanzania safaris destinations and other destinations like Tarangire National Park and Nyerere National Park.
The South Serengeti launching site offers the opportunity for an aerial view of the Great Migration on the open plains from mid-December to early April and similarly at the West Serengeti launching site from roughly mid-May to early July.
Drifting above the African savannah plains, while watching herds of animals beneath you, is without a doubt a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Birding Safari
Tanzania is an incredible birding destination. It has one of the largest species lists of any African country: over 1,100 birds have been recorded, of which more than 800 are resident and nearly 200 are regular migrants. About 40 endemic species are recognized (some are controversial splits). Some endemics easily seen in the Northern circuit include ashy starling, yellow-collared and Fischer’s lovebird and grey-breasted spur fowl. Most other national endemics are restricted to the Eastern Arc Mountains, the country’s most important birding area. Migrants are present from November to April.
For the best bird watching safari in Tanzania, we strongly recommend birders to visit Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park.
We have put together a number of professionally designed birding safari packages to Tanzania for you to choose from and contact us for booking or inquiry. Please note that all our bird watching packages can be customized to best suite your travel time, budget and preferences.
